Junee Roundhouse Museum
Run by the Regional Heritage Transport Association – Junee Inc., this award-winning museum celebrates Junee’s proud railway history.
Open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am–4pm (closed Good Friday & Christmas Day), it showcases one of the last 50-bay working Roundhouses in the Southern Hemisphere.
Explore restored locomotives, carriages, interactive displays, and heritage-listed workshops still in operation today. Recognized as NSW Volunteer Group of the Year 2024, the association continues to preserve and share the stories that shaped Junee and the Riverina.

Junee Junction Recreation & Aquatic Centre
Opened in 2003, the Junee Junction Recreation & Aquatic Centre is one of the Riverina’s most modern sports and leisure facilities. Perfect for families and fitness lovers, the centre features a 50m outdoor pool (with a heated 25m pool in winter), program and toddler pools, plus a thrilling waterslide open on weekends and holidays. Junee Library & Tourist Information Centre
Once the site of the Junee Co-op, the building was transformed into the Junee Library, an award-winning space blending history, design, and community. The library features an energy-efficient heating and cooling system, showcasing sustainable design at its best.

Bethungra Dam & Reserve – Junee Shire
Listed in the Directory of Important Wetlands in Australia, Bethungra Dam and Reserve is a scenic recreation area ideal for canoeing, sailing, fishing, swimming, camping, and picnics. Facilities include toilets, BBQs, and bins, making it a popular spot for families and outdoor enthusiasts.
Constructed in 1895 as a water supply for Junee, the dam covers 14.65 hectares and holds 600 megalitres of water. Managed by Junee Shire Council, it remains an important site for nature conservation, with diverse flora and fauna noted in the Bethungra Reserve Plan of Management (1989).

Junee Skate Park – Junee, NSW
Opened in 2002 and recently updated, the Junee Skate park is a popular spot for skaters, BMX riders, and scooter enthusiasts. The original park features two large ¾ bowls connected by a 6 ft spine, multiple transitions, and a euro gap. The new street section adds mellow mini ramps, quarters, a volcano, jumps, and ledges — seamlessly connecting with the OG bowls to create a large concrete playground for all skill levels.
Best of all, the skatepark is fully lit at night, making it a great place to ride after dark.
